The Billeting Experience:
The Collingwood Blues Billet Family Program plays a significant role in the team’s success on and off the ice. It takes special people to open their homes and hearts to our players and we take the utmost care to ensure our players are placed in healthy environments.
Billeting is a rewarding experience, which creates lifelong friendships between players and their host families and is integral to the success of the Collingwood Blues. Hosting a player gives an individual an opportunity to play in the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) with many players coming from across Ontario, Canada, and the United States.
Billet families really do become second families for the players, building lasting relationships and memories that often remain with both the family and the player long after the player moves on.
