The Collingwood Blues faced mixed results in their last two games. On Thursday, October 17, the Blues traveled to face the Leamington Flyers, where they fought hard but came up short, losing 4-1. Despite a strong effort, the Blues couldn’t overcome the Flyers’ aggressive play on the road.
However, the team wasted no time turning things around when they returned to Eddie Bush Memorial Arena on Friday, October 18, for a game against the Caledon Admirals. The Blues delivered a commanding 11-1 victory in front of their home crowd. Leading the charge were Zander Veccia and Ethan Facchina, among many others, both earning hat tricks. Veccia’s outstanding performance earned him Player of the Game honours, as the Blues put on an offensive clinic to bounce back from the previous night’s loss.
The Blues now look ahead to their next matchup on Sunday, October 20, when they hit the road to take on the Milton Menace at 6 PM.
