The Collingwood Blues started their weekend on a high note with a nail-biting 2-1 victory over the Toronto Patriots at home. After a tightly contested regulation, the game remained deadlocked through the first overtime period. In the second overtime, the Blues found the game-winning goal, securing the win and two valuable points. Daniel Markevych was instrumental in the victory, earning Player of the Game honours for his standout performance.
Unfortunately the momentum didn’t carry into Sunday, as the Blues fell 5-1 on the road against the King Rebellion. Despite battling hard, the Blues struggled to find their rhythm against a determined King squad. The Blues will hit the road again this Friday for a matchup against the Niagara Falls Canucks. With a week to regroup, the team will be looking to bounce back and get back in the win column.
Stay tuned for updates and Go Blues!
