During Round Robin play the Blues faced Calgary, Sudbury, College Francais & Navan. The Blues beat Calgary 5-4. Topped Sudbury 10-2. Shutout College Francais 8-0. Wrapping up the round robin defeating Navan 3-2. Going undefeated in round robin play earned the Blues an automatic Semi Final spot as the top team in the tournament. In a semi final matchup with Miramichi. The Blues showed up along with strong support from the traveling Blues fans taking down the Maritimes champions 5-2. That set up a matchup in the Finals with Melfort the top team from the other pool that also earned a bye to the other semi final.
Buoyed by another strong home crowd of Blues fans at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex. The Blues showed up to close out the tournament with a 1-0 victory over Melfort. With the victory the Blues are officially Canadian Junior Hockey League National Champions capturing the Centennial Cup to go along with the Buckland Cup that allowed the Blues to head to Oakville.
