Blues Sign Head Coach Andrew Campoli to extension through 2025-26 Season

The Collingwood Blues have extended current Head Coach Andrew Campoli for 2 more years through a contract extension. Campoli, who entered this season in his final year of his current contract, was extended this week by General Manager Mike Tarantino keeping him behind the Blues bench through the 2025-2026 season.

Mike Tarantino Blues General Manager stated at the time of the announcement. “Andrew has clearly demonstrated he is an elite coach in the CJHL throughout his time with the Blues.  Andrew builds a program based on trust, communication, accountability, and structure.  He has grown every year since he took over Head Coaching duties.  We are excited to have Andrew leading the Blues for years to come!” 

Andrew Campoli Blues Head Coach when asked to comment on his extension. “I’m extremely excited and honoured to remain as the Head Coach of the Collingwood Blues through the 2025-2026 season. The town of Collingwood truly feels like home and my family and I are excited to continue our journey here. Thank you to Mike Tarantino and Dave Steele for believing in me and allowing me to continue to do what I love on a daily basis. I’m very proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish as an organization and I’m looking forward to two more exciting years!” 

David Steele Blues President stated on the announcement. “Our whole Blues Organization is thrilled to have Andrew Campoli as our Head Coach with the team into 2026. Andrew has been a pleasure to work with, he brings professionalism, aligns with our hockey program’s purpose and provides results far above our expectations. The Collingwood community is excited to continue the success on and off the ice with Coach Campoli.” 

Campoli led the Blues to their first OJHL Championship last season and has the team poised to challenge again this year.  The Blues currently sit first overall in the 24 team OJHL with an impressive 13 wins and 1 loss through the first 14 games of the season. The Blues as OJHL leaders find themselves ranked fourth overall in the CJHL rankings.
