The Collingwood Blues would like to announce the acquisition of winger Nick Lamont(05) from the Toronto Patriots in exchange for forward Antonio Cerqua(06).
General Manager Mike Tarantino had this to say on the transaction, “Nick is a player who is a proven scorer and someone who will help replace the offensive hole left by our graduating players. We are extremely excited to welcome Nick and his family to Collingwood!”
The Blues would like to thank Antonio for his time in Collingwood and wish him well in his future hockey endeavours.
Lamont comes to Collingwood by way of Utopia, On. He is entering his third year in the OJHL having played the previous 2 years with Aurora and Toronto respectively.
Last season Lamont tallied 17 goals and 22 assists for 39 points in 54 games with 40 penalty minutes with Toronto Patriots. Lamont weighs in at 181 lbs measuring 5 foot 11 inches tall.
