Blues name Dylan Hudon(03) Team Captain for 2023-2024 Season

The Collingwood Blues are excited to announce #8 Dylan Hudon(03) will succeed graduating captain, Cam Garvey as Blues Captain for 2023-24. Dylan has continued to develop on and off the ice. After the season ended last year in Portage, the staff and Garvey knew very well who was going to lead the Blues in the upcoming 2023-24 season.

Hudon will not be alone in the leadership department, and will be joined by returning Assistant Captain Spencer Young. Spencer had a breakout season in 2022-23. Not only did Young more than triple his scoring output from 2021-22, but he demonstrated his ability to push the pace and be effective in both the defensive and offensive zone! Young’s work ethic and desire to continually improve are two of the many reasons he is part of the leadership group this coming season.

As for Garvey, he heads off to RMU Division 1 after guiding the Blues to a Buckland Cup Championship. The Blues Management & Coaches without question have had Hudon pegged as a future leader from the get go. Hudon worked hard and diligently as an Assistant Captain the last 2 seasons, as he learned from the veteran leadership of Garvey & Graduating Assistant Captain Ayden Dooley.

Head Coach Andrew Campoli.
“Dylan is the type of player and person that our fans and his teammates in Collingwood really look up to. He competes nightly, willingly continues to learn, grows and improves his game while helping teammates along the path. Overall the team is excited, eager to get back on the ice at the Eddie Bush and get back to work on another season of OJHL hockey in Collingwood.”
