The Collingwood Blues are proud to announce that Andrew Campoli will be taking on the role of Head Coach and General Manager of the OJHL Collingwood Blues.
From Blues Owner and President, David Steele: Andrew has been an integral part of the Blues organization for the past five seasons and has consistently demonstrated the character, leadership, and commitment we strive to instil in every player who wears our jersey. He exemplifies what it means to be a Collingwood Blue.
Andrew brings an outstanding resume to his new role, including: 2x Team Canada East Coaching Staff Member, 2x Buckland Cup Champion, and Centennial Cup Champion.
Andrew’s philosophy of teaching through example—instilling strong character, accountability, and responsibility—has helped guide many of our players toward success at higher levels, both on and off the ice. He truly cares about each player’s journey and development as both athletes and individuals.
Working closely with Mike Tarantino over the past five years has provided Andrew with the knowledge, recruiting strategies, and leadership experience necessary to thrive in this position. He has already hit the ground running, assembling a strong scouting team and staff to ensure the continued success we have all come to expect in Blues organization.
Behind Andrew is a strong support system in his wife Alyssa and son Brody, who are passionate supporters of the Blues and are often seen cheering the team on during Friday night games. Alyssa is also the Blues Social Media Director. Their support has been a big part of Andrew’s journey and success.
We are excited to see Andrew flourish in his new role for many years to come.
From Blues Vice President, Terry Geddes:
Congratulations to Coach Campoli on accepting the position of General Manager and coach of our Collingwood Blues. We know he will bring the same outstanding level of performance to the General Manager’s position as he has to the coaching position.
We the Collingwood Blues are blessed to have a coach in Andrew Campoli who at this early stage in his coaching career, has made an indelible mark on the sport, leading the Blues to two provincial championships and a first for our region a national championship. His expertise is not just a product of accolades; it stems from a deep understanding of his players individual skills which coach Campoli masterfully integrates into a cohesive and dynamic playing unit. The Blues are a team based on speed.
Off the ice coach Campoli has the same expectation of each player to excel in citizenship. He passionately encourages each player to strive for excellence to elevate each to play at the university or college scholarship level. This blend of tactical acumen and commitment to personal development sets Coach Campoli apart as a coach who not only builds winning teams but also shapes our exceptional young talented Collingwood Blues personalities. He has established himself as a coach whom players want to play for and this in itself will greatly lead our organization in the ongoing recruitment of players.
Simply said “the Blues have a reputation where only the standard of excellence will be accepted.” Coach Campoli is that standard.
From Blues Head Coach and GM, Andrew Campoli:
As General Manager and Head Coach of the Collingwood Blues, my goal is to continue to build on a competitive program rooted in strong values, accountability, and pride in our community. We are committed to developing the person and the player, providing a clear pathway for advancement to the OHL, NCAA, U Sports, and beyond, while making player development — on and off the ice — the foundation of everything we do.
I’m incredibly grateful to Dave and Christina Steele for their trust and for providing me this opportunity. Collingwood has truly felt like home over the last five seasons and my family and I are excited about the future here. I look forward to continuing to build a program our players and the Town of Collingwood can be proud of.
Please join us in congratulating Andrew Campoli on this well-deserved opportunity!
